The NUST Institute of Policy Studies (NIPS) and the Governance & Policy Think Tank (GPTT), Tehran, have formally established a framework for institutional cooperation through the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU).
The MoU was signed by Dr. Ashfaque Hasan Khan, Director General, NIPS, and Dr. Seyed Emamian, Co-founder, GPTT, during a virtual signing ceremony attended by members and representatives of both institutions.
The signing marks an important milestone in strengthening institutional linkages and promoting greater interaction between policy research and think-tank communities in Pakistan and Iran. The partnership provides a platform for both institutions to engage in meaningful intellectual exchange and explore areas of mutual interest in policy research and related fields.
The leadership of NIPS and GPTT reaffirmed their commitment to promoting joint research initiatives, knowledge exchange, and collaborative activities. The two institutions will explore opportunities for researchers, academics, and policy experts to work together on issues of shared interest and contribute to informed policy discussions.
The collaboration may also provide avenues for organizing joint seminars, conferences, webinars, roundtable discussions, research activities, and other intellectual engagements, creating opportunities for the exchange of ideas, expertise, and research perspectives.
Through this partnership, NIPS and GPTT aim to further strengthen their institutional cooperation and develop sustainable avenues for policy dialogue, research collaboration, and academic engagement. The MoU reflects the shared interest of both institutions in fostering a productive and long-term relationship between policy research communities.
NIPS looks forward to working closely with GPTT in the coming years to develop meaningful collaborative initiatives and further advance cooperation in the areas of policy research, governance, regional affairs, international relations, and other fields of mutual interest.
